Our Story

BIMpulse was created out of a belief that the conversations happening inside AECO firms need a bigger room. Professionals working at the cutting edge of digital construction deserved a space to network, learn, and share openly. So we built one.

A Little Bit of History

BIMpulse was born from the LA Revit Users Group (LARUG). LARUG was a Revit focused user group in Los Angeles. Jay Zallan & Shobhit Baadkar had worked closely on putting together various in-person events. During the pandemic, Shobhit suggested that the group “go virtual” to maintain momentum. After the COVID-19 pandemic, they started to plan out more expansive events beyond Autodesk Revit. In Fall 2023, Jay Zallan unfortunately passed away. Shobhit Baadkar envisioned a more inclusive community that embraced the wide range of technologies shaping the AECO industry. In Winter 2023, Shobhit Baadkar and Chennie Sudana co-founded BIMpulse and serves as its Chief Marketing Officer. In Spring 2024, Autodesk launched Revit 2025 at the inaugural BIMpulse event at Los Angeles office of AC Martin.

Note to Firm Leadership

BIMpulse events bring together architecture, engineering, construction professionals, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge and explore the latest tools shaping the future of the AECO industry.

All of our events are currently free thanks to our sponsors, speakers, and community of supporters and we highly encourage company leadership to support their relevant teams in attending BIMpulse events as part of their professional development. Encouraging team members to participate helps teams bring valuable insights back to your organization and stay on the cutting edge of what you do.
